With a focus on premier durability, comfort, and style - “Thumper” is a modern boxing and fitness brand based on African culture and art.

I wanted the brand to focus on a region and symbolism to build a sense of pride and national recognition. Using African-inspired colors and patterns, the elephant was chosen as a key representation for Thumper due to its strong and dominant nature plus its tie-in to the African region.
I began working with the classic Fibonacci Sequence, or the “golden Ratio” to ensure the elements of the logo mark would feel Correct proportionally
After Creating the initial logo mark, I used several other aspects of the golden ration to define archs and negative space between the elements of the logo.
The typography and colors were chosen to be both blocky but simple to give the brand identity modern but athletic look; with the main gold color chosen to give the brand identity a pop of elegance. The Patterns which derived from african roots were simplified and condensed to a single gold color to feel more contemporary.
